Kathleen Trafalger and Harry Baldwin have little in common on the surface. She's well-mannered, a woman of society who worries about appearance and her golf score. He's a fry cook, who squelches his sentimental heart and artistic drives with 15 hour poker marathons. Yet when Kathleen discovers that Harry has the vanity license plate that she wants, she tracks him down. As Kathleen tries to persuade Harry to give her the plate, the two are drawn together in this tender and off-beat audience pleaser.
